Full Review – American Outdoor Grill L-Series 36-Inch Built-in

When Fire Magic (one of the top of the line manufacturers of outdoor kitchen appliances) decided they wanted a more ‘affordable’ gas grill, they started American Outdoor Grills. Made in the same California factory as their much more expensive products, this gas grill has the quality and engineering the meet any need. Yes, it is simplified and to be honest thinner than its pricier cousins, but in this range, it is the best of the best.

The L-Series of the American Outdoor Grill is virtually identical to the lower priced American Outdoor Grill T-Series with one expection. This model has a lit control panel and interior halogen lights for grilling in the dark. If like is a must, then buy this model. It, however, you don’t want to pay for a feature you don’t need, but the T-Series model.

While a little light on the BTUs, the American Outdoor Grill makes up for it with a highly distributed heat. The three burners split into three tubes each (what we call E-Type burners). This means nine tubes or 18 channels of flame under the 630 square inches of heavy stainless steel rod cooking grates. The stainless steel flame-tamers help even the heat (though not perfectly). Add in the dual layer hood and efficient design and you get a basic gas grill that performs excellently. For those looking for a built-in gas grill in this price range this really is the model to look at.

This grill is also available in the American Outdoor Grill L-Series Island Bundle.
