What is fajita seasoning?

Fajita seasoning is a popular Mexican and Tex-Mex spice mixture used to flavor fajitas. It is made with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, etc., and adds a zesty, earthy flavor to proteins, vegetables, and meat substitutes.

What types of proteins can you season with this fajita mix?

Use this fajita seasoning on various proteins to create mouthwatering meals. Here are some of our suggestions:

  1. Chicken: Use this fajita seasoning on skinless, boneless chicken breasts, tenders, or thighs for the best chicken fajitas
  2. Beef: Flat steaks like flank, hanger, flat-iron, or skirt steak are classic choices for beef fajitas. This earthy seasoning really brings out the natural flavor of beef.
  3. Shrimp: Use fajita seasoning on shrimp for a zesty seafood fajita. Try it on fish, too!
  4. Tofu: This makes a great vegetarian fajita option. Tofu is the perfect blank canvas for this flavorful spice mix.
  5. Veggies: Use this mixture on mushrooms, red onions, bell peppers, and more. Or, add some to guacamole, salsa, or beans!
