Easy Tomahawk Steaks
A simple way to prepare a great tomahawk steak. These go well with just about any side, but grilled vegetables are highly recommended.
Servings: 2 People
- 2 tomahawk steaks
- 3 tablespoons sea salt (or kosher salt)
- 1 tablespoon coarse black pepper
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Preheat grill for medium-high heat. Combine rub seasonings and apply onto both sides of steak. Place onto grill and sear for 2-3 minutes per side. Move steaks to cooler part of grill and continue cooking for an additional 25-30 minutes, turning a few times throughout the cooking process.
- Once steaks have reached desired doneness (medium rare or medium is recommended), remove from heat and allow meat to rest for 5-7 minutes before slicing. Serve with steak sauce or creamy horseradish.
