Full Review – Sedona by Lynx 36-Inch Built-in Gas Grill
Lynx is known as one of the best gas grill makers in the world. Their cast brass burners and all 304 stainless steel construction puts them at the top of any best gas grill list. Their Sedona line is the more ‘affordable’ family of products. This 36-inch gas grill insert uses stainless steel burners instead of cast brass and the stainless steel is 201 instead of 304. There is a lot of science in stainless steel, but basically it breaks down to what is added to it to make it shiny and corrosion resistant. While 201 stainless contains less nickel, it still retains its appearance and durability, but at a lower price.
The U.S. made Sedona is a very good grill. It is certainly a step down from Lynx, but considering the price difference (this model runs around $2,500 USD while the comparable Lynx sells for more than $4,500USD), this is a fantastic option for a more reasonably priced outdoor kitchen appliance. The three E-Type burners actually create a sea of fire with nine burner tubes distributing heat under 600 square inches of cooking surface. With a maximum BTU rating of 69,000, that is a lot of heat per square inch; well above much of the competition.
Lynx is known for their support and dedication to their customers, so buying this grill isn’t a risk. As with the Lynx line, the Sedona 36-inch built-in is part of a family of products. There is an available rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner and any of the main burners can be swapped out with an all infrared unit. When purchasing this grill make sure to check the configurations for fuel type, size, and features.
