The best burger rub for the best burgers! This simple but delicious rub will take your grilled hamburgers to new tasty heights!

Sure, grilled burgers are good, but our best burger rub will add a fantastic, savory flavor to those patties. This recipe makes 1/3 cup of rub, and you’ll only need 1 tablespoon of rub per pound of meat. So, it’s a great option for a large cookout! Want to know something even better? Most of these ingredients are already in your pantry. In as little as five minutes, you’ll have the best burger rub made and ready to use.

Take this rub with you to tailgating events, cookouts, and camping trips. You’ll be glad you did!

Ingredients:

  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Granulated onion (or onion powder)
  • Granulated garlic (or garlic powder)
  • White sugar
  • Paprika (not smoked)
  • Dried marjoram

How to Make a Burger Rub:

  • Combine burger rub ingredients in a small bowl. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the cupboard for up to six months after preparation.
  • Sprinkle your desired amount onto patties. I use about 1/4-1/2 teaspoon per burger, depending on size. If making stuffed burgers with bacon, then season them lightly.
  • You can also apply the rub with a shaker.
  • You can use this rub mixture on steaks or in meatballs as well.
