Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup apple cider sub with apple juice or sparkling apple cider
  • 1/2 cup unsalted Irish butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat marinade ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat for 1-2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and heat through for another 2 minutes.
Remove pan from heat, and let the marinade cool for 15-20 minutes. Skim away any milk solids that have floated to the top.
  • Place turkey into a large, parchment-lined baking dish.
  • Draw marinade into meat injector syringe. Carefully release the excess air.
Inject small bits of marinade into multiple parts of turkey. Aim for 1 1/2" deep. Apply marinade every 2-2 1/2" across the bird, particularly the breast area. Blot away any excess spillage with paper towels.
  • Wrap turkey in plastic wrap and place it into your refrigerator for 4-12 hours. Cook as directed.
  • Discard any remaining marinade that has come into contact with raw meat.
