What does this apple-butter turkey injection marinade taste like?
This injection marinade contains apple cider, which has a fruity, crisp flavor. That combined with the butter and spices produces a flavorful marinade. If you cannot find apple cider, you can substitute it with apple juice or sparkling apple cider.

Ingredients
- Apple cider, sub with apple juice or sparkling apple cider for a crisp flavor
- Unsalted Irish butter
- Worcestershire sauce
- Low-sodium soy sauce
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- Cayenne pepper (optional)
How to Make Beer and Butter Turkey Injection
- Heat marinade ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat for 1-2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and heat through for another 2 minutes.
- Remove pan from heat, and let the marinade cool for 15-20 minutes. Skim away any milk solids that have floated to the top.

How to Use an Injection Marinade
- Place turkey into a large baking dish.
- Draw marinade into meat injector syringe. Carefully release the excess air.
- Inject 1 1/2″ deep into the bird. Release small bits of marinade.
- Apply apple-butter marinade every 2-2 1/2″ across the bird, particularly the breast area. Blot away any excess spillage with paper towels.
- Wrap turkey in plastic wrap and place it into your refrigerator for 4-12 hours. Cook as directed.
- Discard any remaining marinade that has come into contact with raw meat.
