Simply put, the Hestan 42-inch Gas Grill is one of the best on the market. However, at $11,000+, it is a luxury grill. That is not to say that it is just one of those grills that look good but isn’t designed to do much more. The Hestan is a powerhouse of a gas grill. The four main burners can pump out 100,000 BTUs under 782 square inches of heavy laser-cut stainless steel cooking surface. That is nearly overkill.
Hestan Burners
The main burners on the Hestan 42-inch are stainless steel tubular burners. While most manufacturers in this price range opt for cast stainless steel, Hestan maintains the tubular design. The reason for this is the burners themselves. They branch out, creating a sea of flame that makes this grill not only amazingly powerful but incredibly even in its heating. Put the stainless steel and ceramic barriers over these burners, and the heat difference from side to side and front to back is practically nothing. You can trust this grill to heat evenly.
Hestan Innovation
The Hestan is packed with features. The rotisserie burner is top-mounted, not back-mounted, which directs heat downward rather than straight ahead. This design allows for broiling capabilities, which is nice. Additionally, the rotisserie motor is internal and chain-driven, demonstrating how Hestan has reimagined the traditional gas grill.
