Old Smokey has been producing smokers since the 1930s and has remained one of Texas’s most popular brands. This electric version is a heavily tested unit and has proven to be highly durable and easy to use. Its simple design makes it easy to use and lets you produce good barbecue with minimal fuel and effort.. Priced at $180, this electric smoker is one of the most affordable on the market.

Old Smokey Electric Smoker Appearance

This electric smoker is essentially a large stockpot with a 1250-watt heat element in the base. Above the element is a smoke plate for your wood chips, and above that is the drip pan. This unit does not function like a vertical water smoker, so there is no need for a water pan. However, the drip pan makes cleaning up easier. Two cooking grates (each about 15 inches in diameter) sit above the drip pan and can hold plenty of food. The lid fits tightly and effectively, trapping both heat and smoke.
