Between $3,000 and $4,000USD we find the smaller versions of some of the top of the line built in gas grills. While more expensive versions of these grills may have more features, the basic grills don't change much. You get plenty of space and serious construction. These are all solid stainless steel grill inserts. I have chosen a variety of brands here, but you will find that these grills have much in common. These are traditional higher end grills. When purchasing for your outdoor kitchen, remember that many will require an insert sleeve from proper mounting, so make sure you get the complete package. But, don't worry about selecting any of these grills. They are all fantastic. Truly, the Best Built-in Gas Grills between $3000 and $4000.
Fire Magic Aurora 540
The Fire Magic Aurora has all the best features this line has to offer in a smaller space. The burners are solid cast stainless steel. The cooking grates are heavy square stainless steel rod. In fact, every part of this grill is high grade welded stainless steel. The construction quality is excellent. While this model in particular is a fairly basic three burner grill, there are extras that can be added, including a full rotisserie system with infrared rotisserie burner. One feature I like in particular is the high domed lid which affords plenty of cooking space while maintaining efficient convection airflow.
DCS Series 7 Traditional 36-Inch
Pushing the upper limit of our price range, this excellent gas grill from DCS comes will all the bells and whistles. DCS is, of course, one of the most recognized names in outdoor (and indoor) cooking appliances. This model comes fully loaded with a full rotisserie system that can hand up to 50 pounds of food and spins it in front of a 14,000 BTU rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner. There is also a dedicated smoker burner on top of the three, 25,000 BTU main burners. The cooking grates are cast 304 stainless steel and everything else is the highest quality construction. DCS builds a serious grill for the serious griller.
Aspire by Hestan 36-Inch Built-in
Hestan makes some of the best gas grills on the market. They are also some of the most expensive. The Aspire series is their more affordable line. That is not to say that there are many cutbacks other than feature. This model is a basic three-burner grill, though a full rotisserie system is available for more money. This base unit runs around $3,500USD. Add in the rotisserie system and it jumps $350USD. You can even (for more money of course) get this grill in a number of colors. Hestan is the only high-end grill maker that offers colors. The construction quality is why you choose this grill however, not the colors.
Sedona by Lynx 42-Inch
This is a big grill. With 728 square inches of primary grilling space, it is one of the largest on this list. The three main burners can pump out as much as 69,000 BTUs under this space. Not an extraordinary amount of power, but with superior engineering, this is an efficient and powerful grill. You can get a full rotisserie system for this grill, adding on to the just over $3,400USD. Or you can replace any of the main burners with powerful infrared burners. Considering the size, I suggest you think about this. You can have a searing space and still have ample conventional grilling area.
Artisan Professional 36-Inch
At this point in the list, you have probably realized that this price range is the hottest for built-in gas grills since all the major high-end manufacturers have introduced brands to meet it. This three burner model comes from Alfresco and features a rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner (an option on most at this price) and a full rotisserie system. Made from all 304 stainless steel, this unit also has two internal halogen lights. At around $2,700USD this comparable to the products above and part of a full line of outdoor appliances.
Profire Professional Deluxe 36-Inch
The Profire gas grill is the high-end, stainless steel product from Modern Home Products (MHP) who has been making gas grills since 1960. While this model has a strong commitment to quality, it isn't the most innovative of grills. The burner design is straightforward and simple, which doesn't mean the most even of heat. Each of the three control knobs on the front fire two straight tubular burners, meaning there are six, 11,000 BTU burners in the firebox and sit under stainless steel diffuser plates. The best feature of this grill is the adonized aluminum cooking grates that are superior to most of the stainless steel rod grates that you find on this list.
Twin Eagles 30-Inch
Twin Eagles makes some of the very best gas grills on the market. They are among the top of the line. This 2-burner grill is small and simple and yet perfectly engineered. I know that this is the smallest unit on this list and that it has virtually no extras. You can add a rotisserie system and an infrared burner, but those would raise the price out of this range. If you want the best quality, then this is the grill for you. It may stretch the pocketbook for such a small grill, but it is hard to argue with the quality.
Estate Series by Crown Verity 36-Inch
Crown Verity is a leading manufacturer of professional kitchen appliances as well as outdoor cooking products. They have serious equipment for the serious cook. This 36-Inch built-in unit offers. With five main burners that can produce nearly 80,000 BTUs under 714 square inches of stainless steel cooking space. The lid on this unit is completely removable for 360-degree access. For those who want the professional chef experience, this is an excellent grill to consider.
